The Classic Elegance of Uji Matcha
Isuzu (五十鈴) by Marukyu Koyamaen represents the harmony of depth and brightness in Kyoto’s matcha tradition.
Its name — “Fifty Bells” or “Isuzu Stream” — evokes the tranquil sound of flowing water at Ise Shrine, symbolizing purity, calm, and refinement.
Produced from first-flush tencha leaves grown under shade for over 20 days, Isuzu offers a balanced taste: deep umami, soft sweetness, and a smooth, lasting finish.
It’s one of Marukyu’s most recognized ceremonial matchas, loved by tea masters and daily drinkers alike for its clarity and calmness.
